Many Fellows are engaged in leading change in the criminal justice system. The issue was discussed throughout All Fellows Gathering with many Fellows needing and wanting to lean into conversation and dialogue given the culmination of so many tragedies in recent years. The criminal justice panel was powerful, especially the presentations by Tiffany Bullard and Scott Holmes. The following are just a few resources from Fellows who are passionate about creating a more equitable and just system.

Lenny Salzberg, Class of ’95, thought these resources about reducing the role of criminalization in local drug control might be helpful:

Scott Holmes ’06 remarks on the roots of racism and white supremacy in the criminal justice system using our own backyard of Hillsborough as an example during the Summit were inspiring, moving, and compelling. Since so many of you missed it, I’m sharing another piece that he has written.

Tiffany Bullard is doing extensive work in the area of criminal justice.
